Last year, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi sponsored a fun run for Byhalia Elementary School and it was a huge hit. This year, it was not being offered, but that did not get in our way. Our very own gym teacher, Coach McClatchy, stepped up to make the BES 2nd annual fun run a reality. Coach McClatchy, with the help of Ms. Riley, and a number of other individuals got together to solicit donations, plan for T-shirts, food, medals, trophy, water, snacks, and so much more to truly make this a memorable experience for our very deserving students.
We had a number of faculty and staff members volunteer their time to help with the event and had so many wonderful families there as well to enjoy the festivities. We are so proud of all the students who ran the race and for all of the 1st place winners. They truly gave it their all! Thank you to Coach McClatchy and Ms. Riley for being instrumental in making this happen. It was a great event and we can't wait to see what comes next!
